Adult Education

GED/ABE/HS
Welcome to the Adult Education Center. AEC offerings include
Adult Basic Education (ABE), General Education Development (GED), and High School Credits. Teachers use contemporary materials, methods, and services to provide for each student's needs and learning styles.

The Goal
The goal for the majority of the students attending the AEC is to
achieve a high school diploma.   Our school also appeals to students who just want to take classes to enhance their professional skills and work on career objectives.

Class Time
Classes meet Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am – 9:30 PM
and Friday, 8:00 am – 3:30 PM.

Registration Requirements
GED students who wish to earn a GED must come to the Center with a valid picture ID, a state driver's license or passport and register for testing. Those who feel they are capable of passing
the GED should go to the GED office to register for the test.
There is a $70 fee for the test. Those students who feel they need practice before attempting the GED may come to the Guidance office and register for either the Pre-GED or the TABE test. These students may or may not choose to take preparation classes.

HS Students
Students who are still in high school who wish to earn a GED or only need two credits to graduate must first withdraw from high school before registering at the Adult Education Center.

HS Credit Program
Students who need two or fewer credits in order to graduate from high school may be eligible  for the credit lab. These students must be withdrawn from high school.
